Thanks so much. The toy surpassed our expectations and I have no doubt many more creations will be generated from this one kit. Watching my daughter’s face light up when she realized she had made a working fan was pretty awesome.

One of my students bought a roominate kit for my youngest daughter, Sabine, who recently turned 7. To say she loved it is an understatement. This is a fantastic gift and it allowed Sabine to combine her mutual love of engineering and creativity (which as we know are linked, but are often disconnected in the classroom)…Thank you for helping to inspire my daughters – my oldest daughter Iliana asked for one immediately after seeing Sabine’s so I’m off to your website to purchase more.

I am sending in my daughter’s Roominate design. She was soooo excited to have received your creation for Christmas. She made one design, took it apart, and created another. Maya’s current design includes bunkbeds, a hanging mobile, desk and chair, and even books and a pencil holder on the desk. She used the fan which is turned on in the picture…Thanks for your creation – what it stands for means so much to our budding entrepreneurs, scientists, mathematicians, engineers, etc…! Truly inspiring!

| An idea whose time has really come. As a mother of a grown-up girl and boy, “sex-gregating” toys is like putting up a glass ceiling to their dreams. Why not play doctors, instead of play nurses, for our girls? And yes, women have the brains for maths and science too!. Wishing you every success.

We female engineers are always being asked what got us interested in engineering to begin with. For me, it was making crafts — *specifically dollhouses!* — that sparked my interest in making things on computers…. Since it was literally making dollhouses that got me excited when I was a young budding engineer, I am absolutely thrilled to discover your Roominate project. I’m in the process of starting my own business, so money is kind of tight, and I have yet to find a project that has motivated me to get my butt off the couch and actually back anything. Until now! You did it! My daughter and her friends are girly, princessy math nerds who love Legos, and they will love this so much. I want this for my daughter, but I also want this on shelves in toy stores. So I’m jumping in with both feet! I would jump in with more feet if I could afford it!

I’m so excited to see a toy like this. It’s honestly a toy that I would have absolutely adored as a kid. I used to take after-school courses in robotics and biology in elementary school, but it always seemed like something that had to stay at school. Kudos to you ladies for finding a way to bring science and technology into playtime, too.

As a woman engineer, I am very excited about your new company I taught engineering in a community college for 35 years and enjoyed every minute of it and now have two granddaughters. I love to see them building things and I hope that many other girls find it fun and perhaps even consider engineering as a career.
